TIGER Global Support contract signed!

Ultimately targeting the increase of fleet availability for the benefit of the French, German and Spanish customers, OCCAR and Airbus Helicopter Tiger signed on November 29th 2019 the so-called Global Support Contract, that will ensure the long-term sustainability of the Tiger system for the next years and beyond.

As the helicopter production phase just ended with the deliveries of the last helicopters, spare parts production and repair lines were to be secured in order to maintain the current industrial capabilities.

Several continuous improvement axes in various areas such as obsolescence management or parts reliability are also included in this contract.

In addition, for the French customer this contract offers a new type of performance based on part availability, compared to the previous performance type based on committed lead times for spares and repairs. Hence, Industry is given greater and wider responsibilities – such as stock management and end-to-end spares or repairs management – that shall result in higher global performance level.
