OCCAR STAND AT THE Tag des Bundeswehr

On 15 June the Bundeswehr organized the 5th „Tag der Bundeswehr“ opening the doors at 14 different locations all over Germany. Due to the established good neighbourhood the Bundeswehr Research Institute for Materials, Fuels and Lubricants (WIWeB) in Erding has invited the MALE RPAS Programme Division (MRPD) to display the 1:10 model of the remotely piloted aircraft at that occasion.

MRPD took this opportunity to present the programme but also OCCAR as programme management organisation to the broad public. After a very exciting day roughly 5.000 visitors were interested in the presentations and displays. Also the MRPD stand welcomed continuously interested people throughout the whole day. With the stand close to the entrance probably not all 5.000 but almost all visitors passed and had at least a “quick look” on the model. The present MRPD staff was happy to answer all the numerous questions on OCCAR, drones, status of the programme etc., with the commander of the “territory command Bavaria”, Brigadier General Helmut Dotzler visited the stand a appreciated the detailed information he received.
