Signature of FSAF-PAAMS Contract for IFF Upgrade

On 15 December 2015, the OCCAR-EA FSAF-PAAMS Programme Manager signed a contract with Selex ES S.p.A. as Design Authority, for the upgrade of Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) equipments installed in the Italian SAMP/T firing Sections.

The contract was signed at the OCCAR-EA FSAF-PAAMS Programme Division site in Paris by the Naval & Air Defence System Vice President Sales of Selex ES, Mr. Andrea Avoli and OCCAR-EA FSAF-PAAMS Programme Manager Mr. Fulvio Bellassai.

This upgrade, which aims to fully implement Edition 2 of STANAG 4193 on the existing Italian IFF cabinets, will increase the capabilities of IFF and of the SAMP/T firing Sections as well.
