OCCAR-EA DIRECTOR ATTENDED THE PPA2 SEA TRIALS

On the 26th July 2022 the OCCAR-EA Director participated to the contractual Sea Trials on board the second of PPA Class, Francesco Morosini.

The event saw the participation of the NAVARM Director Vadm Guma, the SEGREDIFESA 3rd Department Director Major General Sganga, the Chairman of the Ship Verification and Acceptance Commission Vice Admiral Biaggi along with the General Director Military Ships Dario Deste (Fincantieri) and the Managing Director Electronics Division Gabriele Pieralli (Leonardo).

While attending the sea trials, the Director had also the chance to appreciate the innovative systems developed within the PPA Programme which will ensure that the Italian Navy will be at the cutting-edge of new technology.

Francesco Morosini ship is planned to be delivered in October 2022 and join the PPA Thaon di Revel, the first PPA delivered in March 2022.
