The NVC Programme comprises the Development, Production and optional In-Service phases of Night Vision Goggles in a first stage of the Programme. The programme will be composed of three staff from Belgium and Germany, led by Mr. Geert Vanlinthout.

Mr Vanlinthout has been the OCCAR’s Head of the Corporate Support Division since 1st June 2015. Mr Vanlinthout is excited to start in this new position and has stated “When I joined OCCAR in 2015, we were with 250 staff located at 6 different sites. Now we are as many as 310 located at 9 modern sites with state-of-the-art equipment. After 5 years as Head of the Corporate Support Division, I am ready to turn the page and start writing a new story for OCCAR, and also for Belgium and Germany. Germany is for me a second home, as I have lived and worked in this country over 13 years at different locations. My experience in project management and procurement and my deep in knowledge of both Armies – as Belgian officer I have served as an exchange officer at the 10th German Tank Division, having graduated at the German Fuhrungsakademie – will constitute major assets for the Night Vision Capability Programme management . It is amazing that OCCAR can integrate a new programme during these challenging times. I am very eager to start my new tenure, a token of my trust in OCCAR as a major European Armament Project Management Organisation”.
