The Czech Republic  joined the multinational effort to acquire a European fleet of Multi-Role Tanker-Transport (MRTT) Aircraft on 24 October, thus becoming the sixth nation to participate in this initiative, joining Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Norway.

On 17th September, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has granted to the prime contractor AIRBUS DS in Spain the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the A330 MMF aircraft.

On 2nd July 2019, the 1st Multinational Multi-Role Tanker Transport Fleet (MMF) Aircraft being converted by Airbus DS in Getafe (Madrid) emerged from the paint facility in Manchester, having been painted in the final colour scheme requested by the MMF Nations (Belgium, Germany, Luxemburg, Netherlands and Norway).

Due to more nations participating in the Multinational MRTT Fleet (MMF) programme and of the number of aircraft to be procured, NSPA and OCCAR have revised the Cooperation Agreement  originally signed in 2014 for the management of the programme.
