The new OCCAR Paris site has been inaugurated today by the Board of Supervisors. The new site is operational since 21 October. 

The OCCAR Director Matteo Bisceglia visited EDA today to discuss the bilateral cooperation and programmes of relevance to both organisations with its Chief Executive, Jorge Domecq .

On the 15th November 2019, the OCCAR Director visited the ITS Spartaco SCHERGAT, the ninth Italian FREMM (out of ten ships under contract). The outfitting of the frigate is being concluded at the Fincantieri Muggiano shipyard in La Spezia.  The aim is to deliver her to the Italian Navy in March 2020, fully on schedule and ready to be integrated with the rest of the fleet.

OCCAR organized today for the first time ever a joint seminar with ASD, the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe. The seminar brought together more than 70 representatives of defence companies from across Europe to learn about OCCAR and the current and future business opportunities that may emerge from ongoing European defence initiatives such as PESCO.  The event focused on the forthcoming procurement of night vision capability equipment by OCCAR on behalf of Belgium and Germany, for which OCCAR will use an EU-wide tendering procedure.
