On - 18th of October 2017, the fifth of class French - ASM (Anti-Submarine Warfare) FREMM multi-mission frigate “Bretagne” has successfully completed first sea trials in Lorient.

Germany and Norway to join the MMF

In a signing ceremony on 25 September 2017, the current Multinational Multi-Role Tanker Transport Fleet (MMF) contract was amended to include both Germany and Norway as participants to the MMF project along with the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

The 7th Italian FREMM frigate, named Federico Martinengo in honour of the highly decorated Admiral, was launched on the 4th of March at the FINCANTIERI integrated shipyard in Riva Trigoso (Genoa).

On 13 November 2013, the FREMM First of Class General Purpose (FOC GP) frigate Carlo Bergamini joined the logistic support ship Etna, the patrol boat Borsini and the aircraft carrier Cavour in the 30th Italian Naval Group
