On 23 June 2022, some months after contract signature, Airbus Defence & Space GmbH (ADS), European MALE RPAS prime contractor, introduced the official launch of the programme during ILA Air show.
The OCCAR-EA Director has signed today the FREMM Research & Technology Projects Contract with NAVIRIS, a 50% joint venture by Fincantieri and Naval Group, officially launched in January 2020 with the aim to strengthen the French – Italian cooperation for the shipbuilding industry and Navies as an evolution of an historical partnership .
On 15 June the Bundeswehr organized the 5th „Tag der Bundeswehr“ opening the doors at 14 different locations all over Germany. Due to the established good neighbourhood the Bundeswehr Research Institute for Materials, Fuels and Lubricants (WIWeB) in Erding has invited the MALE RPAS Programme Division (MRPD) to display the 1:10 model of the remotely piloted aircraft at that occasion.
