A further important target in the Logistic Support Ship (LSS) Programme has been successfully achieved with the keel laying of the aft part of the ship. The respective ceremony took place at FINCANTIERI shipyard in Riva Trigoso (Genova) on 12th July.

In June 2016, the A400M Programme made a further key step regarding its paratrooper delivery capability. From 13 to 24 June, a test campaign was organised with Airbus Defense and Space in South-West France to clear static line jump operations of paratroopers.

On 25 February 2016, the OCCAR-EA FSAF–PAAMS Programme Division accepted delivery of the final French “SAMP/T” system and subsequently transferred it to the French Air Force Ground Based Air Defense General Support squadron 2E.950, located on Avord Air Base, center of France.

The first important milestone in the OCCAR Logistic Support Ship (LSS) Programme was successfully achieved in February with the first steel cutting. The LSS Programme includes the Development, Production and ten years of In Service Support for the first ship of the Italian Navy fleet renewal plan, with delivery foreseen in 2019.
