SEAFUTURE was held in the Naval Station of La Spezia, and presented a great opportunity for Industries to showcase new products; in fact during the event many technological maritime innovations were introduced during a large number of stages and workshops. This year the event has gained an international profile thanks to the participation of about 140 exhibitor industries and more than 40 foreign navies delegations from all over the world. In this edition OCCAR was invited to participate to discuss its role in defence procurement.
Bonn, 17th October 2014 – In the frame of the space programme MUSIS FA (MUltinational Space-based Imaging System Federating Activities), OCCAR-EA has awarded a 10-month Phase B-2 contract to a consortium of Thales Alenia Space Italia and Airbus Defence & Space.
OCCAR Director Tim Rowntree was invited by UK Defence Forum, a high level non-partisan, non-profit organisation informing the UK Defence Policy debate, to join their recent meeting in London and speak to them.
On 28th February 2013, Mr Patrick Bellouard symbolically handed back the OCCAR flag to General Arturo Alfonso MEIRIÑO, the Board of Supervisors Chairman, at his farewell event.
