Two Aster launches, carried out successfully from the Italian carrier Cavour on 18th and 19th May 2011, confirm the effectiveness of the System SAAM-IT,the anti-aircraft defence self protection system, developed within the FSAF systems family.

After completion of development and certification tests, TP400-D6 engine Type Certificate has been granted to EPI Europrop International GmbH (EPI) by European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) on the 6 May 2011.
