REACT 2 - Preliminary Design Review (PDR) Achieved

Torrejón de Ardoz,/Spain – 20-21 November 2025 - The representatives of the participating nations, coordinated by OCCAR and the representative of the European Commission (DG DEFIS), have reviewed the work done by the consortium, led by INDRA, for the achievement of this major design milestone. They jointly accepted the achieved level of design progress and the PDR milestone was passed.

Held over two days at INDRA’s facilities, this milestone marks a major step forward in the development of a European Airborne Electronic Attack capability. The REACT (Responsive Electronic Attack for Cooperative Tasks) initiative continues to evolve, and this PDR confirms sufficient maturity on the design for the next milestone, the Critical Design Review (CDR) in 2026.

Building on the achievements and insights from the initial stage, this new phase aims to develop and test a flying prototype of an Airborne Electronic Attack system. This demonstrator will serve as a key enabler for showcasing advanced Electronic Warfare capabilities. In parallel, design activities are progressing for the European Electronic Attack Mission Planning Open Framework (EAMPEK), reinforcing the strategic ambition of an interoperable EW planning toolset.
