OCCAR WWGC and A400 Programmes presented at Combat Engineer & Logistics 2026

OCCAR participated in the Combat Engineer & Logistics 2026 conference in Krakow, Poland.  The A400M and Wide Wet Gap Crossing (WWGC) Programme Managers, Philippe Bourgault and Dan Boyle presented their programmes.

Mr. Boyle presented alongside the WWGC contractors GDELS-BS and the UK Army’s Senior Responsible Owners.  The briefing highlighted OCCAR’s growth as a leading international organisation for managing complex, cooperative defence programmes, emphasising OCCAR’s role as an independent, ISO‑certified “honest broker,” providing efficiency, shared investment, and mature programme‑management structures that reduce national resource burdens while improving outcomes.

Focusing on the Wide Wet Gap Crossing (WWGC) Programme, the talk outlined the lessons learned from integrating UK and German requirements into a single, interoperable solution for the joint bridging battalion in Minden, Germany. Highlighting that the nations achieved over 90% commonality of Systems Requirements for the next‑generation M3 EVO. Looking ahead, the Programme is moving from contract signature into active development, with interoperability remaining the primary objective.
