OCCAR and EASA Sign Administrative Arrangement

Bonn,Germany January 15, 2025 – The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), represented by Mr. Florian Guillermet - Executive Director, and the Organisation for Joint Armament Cooperation (OCCAR), represented by Mr. Joachim Sucker OCCAR- EA Director, have signed an Administrative Arrangement (AA).

This agreement follows successful negotiations between OCCAR-EA and EASA, which began in 2024 after the OCCAR Board of Supervisors approved the mandate which authorized OCCAR-EA to initiate discussions.

Since last year, OCCAR has been working closely with EASA on the certification of the Eurodrone engine as part of the MALE RPAS programme. This cooperation involves the exchange of classified information, which is now facilitated by this AA.

The Administrative Arrangement marks a significant step in strengthening the trustful relationship between OCCAR and EASA.
