New AKERON LP Missile Firing Successfully Completed

24 March 2026/ FRANCE -  A new AKERON LP missile firing was successfully conducted at the Île du Levant test site of DGA Essais de Missiles.

A prototype missile, including measuring equipment to collect a large amount of data, was launched from a ground firing installation against a sea-borne target to validate several critical functional chains.

This successful firing notably showcased the laser-guided targeting capability and datalink between missile and launcher, both extensively employed during the flight. It also confirmed overall performance of the system.

This great achievement for the MAST-F Programme was made possible thanks to the strong mobilisation and commitment of all teams and partners involved: DGA, MBDA and OCCAR.

MAST-F is a new networked weapon system delivering high precision strike for battlefield dominance.
