German State Secretary Plötner visits OCCAR-EA

Bonn/Germany 29 January 2026 - The OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation)-EA Director, Mr. Joachim Sucker, welcomed the State Secretary in the German Federal Ministry of Defence | Bundesministerium der Verteidigung, Mr. Jens Plötner, at the OCCAR-EA Bonn site. State Secretary Jens Ploetner was accompanied by the German OCCAR Board of Supervisors (BoS) Member and National Armament Director, Admiral Carsten Stawitzki.

State Secretary Plötner and Director Sucker discussed OCCAR´s increasingly important role in Europe´s Defence Cooperation landscape with its current and future challenges. Mr. Plötner expressed his admiration for OCCAR´s achievements over the past 25 years and assured the Director of Germany´s continued support for OCCAR.
The visit was concluded with a small flag ceremony to hoist the newly rebranded OCCAR Flag in front of the Bonn Site Building.
