First MMPC Programme Committee Meeting held in Paris

Paris, 8 April 2024 - The 1st MMPC Programme Committee Meeting took place and was attended by OCCAR-EA Director, Mr. Joachim Sucker and the Programme Committee Representatives from the OCCAR Participating States, Italy, France, Spain and Greece.

Following the contract start in November 2023, the meeting was the first important opportunity to update the high-level representatives on the progress of the first phase of the programme (EPC CALL 1) and to present the upcoming activities, such as the conceptual studies for the design of the vessels.

Additionally, the future of the programme was discussed with Nations. Should EPC CALL 2 be selected by the European Commission, the next steps will be the contractualisation of the common detailed ship design, development and production of ship prototypes in the different version and variants according to the National specificities (EPC CALL 2).
