EDA - OCCAR-EA bilateral meeting in Brussels, Belgium

On 03 February 2022, the EDA Chief Executive received the OCCAR-EA Director for the biannual bilateral meeting at the EDA premises in Brussels, Belgium.

Both parties provided updates on ongoing mutual interests such as PESCO, EU Strategic Compass, EDF and relationships with other international organisations. Furthermore, updates were discussed on bilateral cooperation (MMF, MALE RPAS and ESSOR).

Finally, it was agreed that new opportunities for cooperation would be further investigated (e.g. European Patrol Corvette (EPC), Incubation Forum for Circular Economy in European Defence (IF CEED) and test cases for the execution of the EDA-OCCAR Interface Document) to enhance the cooperation between OCCAR and EDA.
