Welcome to the new Head of Finance Division

OCCAR has a new Head of Finance Division since the beginning of April. Mr Claudio Confalonieri replaces in the post Mr Guillaume Bigot, whose contract, according to OCCAR personnel regulations, came to an end in March.

Mr Confalonieri comes from the Italian Naval Armaments Directorate. He has extensive experience in the financial domain, gained in positions in the IT Navy General Staff and more recently in the IT Defence General Staff.

He is excited to be part of the OCCAR family and has stated “I have joined OCCAR at the culmination of a career path that has been strongly influenced by an insane passion for finance and finance related matters. My tenure started in a difficult moment for most European countries and OCCAR coped with it – in my opinion brilliantly – thanks to the amazing skills of its employees and the technological aids it has in its inventory. Colleagues in offices are these days very few, and even if it does not ease the way for a newcomer like me, I am amazed by their presence “in remote mode”, working from home and by their capacity to help, provide answers and keep on delivering results as in normal circumstances. That’s the reason why I am optimist for the future”.
