MALE RPAS full size mock up unveiled

The full-size mock-up of the MALE RPAS has been unveiled at the ILA Air Show in Berlin On 26 April by the State Secretaries of the Participating States, OCCAR Director and the CEOs of the involved companies (Airbus Defence and Space, Dassault Aviation and Leonardo).

The German and French Defence Ministers – France is this year’s ILA partner nation – started their walk around by visiting the European MALE RPAS mock-up.

The twin engine turboprop design is one major decision of the Programme Participating States (France, Germany, Italy and Spain) during the current ongoing definition phase study phase.

The next stage of the programme which comprises development, production and initial in-service support, is intended to commence during fourth quarter 2019. To ensure this ambitious goal OCCAR is currently preparing an invitation to tender.
