First Acceptance of a TIGER ASGARD33 Retrofit for German Customer

A key milestone was met for the German TIGER Programme in July 2020 with the acceptance of the first of 33 retrofits. 

The retrofit was conducted by Airbus Helicopters on TIGER 74+51 in Donauwörth in parallel to a 400h inspection, under the lead of OCCAR-EA, in cooperation with the German Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw).

ASGARD33 retrofitted helicopter provides a comprehensive set of improvements to the TIGER fleet, derived from operations and development results and will increase the operational usability.

The retrofit program will be continued up to 2026 and is intended to be enlarged to the whole fleet.
