A400M Engine TP400 obtained Type Certificate from EASA

After completion of development and certification tests, TP400-D6 engine Type Certificate has been granted to EPI Europrop International GmbH (EPI) by European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) on the 6 May 2011. This engine is the most powerful turboprop in the West today.

This is a major achievement on the road to certification of A400M, which OCCAR-EA is closely monitoring. More than 1600 flight tests hours have been already performed by the Aircraft during fight tests. EPI is actively supporting the A400M flight test campaign to meet the programme objectives. The civil certification of the A400M is expected at the end of 2011.
