For this occasion, the Turkish delegation was headed by General Koca (Head of Defence Planning & Project Management Division – Aeronautical projects). In welcoming the aircraft, General Koca paid tribute to the crew of MSN23, tragically lost during its first flight in May 2015. This was the initial Aircraft to be delivered and has been reallocated as MSN118, following the accident.
MSN118 is also the first Batch 7 Aircraft, which means that its technical configuration is the final standard to be manufactured at the Final Assembly Line in Seville.
MSN118 delivery is the first of 2022, where nine aircraft in total are expected to be delivered.
