On 10th December 2012, the A400M transport aircraft has completed the 300 hour function and reliability (F&R) flight-test phase. 

The A400M transport aircraft was officially named Atlas ahead of the Farnborough Airshow 2012 on 6 July.

On 7th June, the 5 A400M aircraft (codename Grizzly) used for flight testing took off from Toulouse for a unique formation flight.

The A400M - MSN1 has successfully performed simulated refuelling contacts with an Airbus Military A330 MRTT Multi Role Tanker Transport.
