OCCAR-EA has placed two contracts with a consortium composed of Airbus Helicopters Tiger, Thales AVS and MBDA, on behalf of the French, German and Spanish Armament agencies, DGA, BAAINBw and DGAM. They aim to de-risk the obsolescence treatment of the current Tiger helicopters, as well as the implementation of new capabilities.
Today we have celebrated the 20th anniversary of the signature of the Convention of the Organisation Conjointe de Cooperation en Matiere d’Armement, as well as its growth with the official inauguration of the new Bonn premises.
The event has counted with the presence of the Ambassador of the Federal Ministry of Defence of NRW, the Mayor of Bonn, representatives of our Corporate Boards and Committees, Programme Board and Committees representatives, Industry representatives, the Chief Executive of EDA and the General Manager of NSPA.
The European MALE RPAS Programme Division (MRPD) has placed a contract with the German Air Navigation Service Provider – DFS Aviation Services (DAS) – on a Preliminary Safety Assessment. The objective of the safety assessment is focused to provide resilient results and figures for the integration of the European MALE RPAS in segregated and non-segregated airspaces.
SEAFUTURE was held in the Naval Station of La Spezia, and presented a great opportunity for Industries to showcase new products; in fact during the event many technological maritime innovations were introduced during a large number of stages and workshops. This year the event has gained an international profile thanks to the participation of about 140 exhibitor industries and more than 40 foreign navies delegations from all over the world. In this edition OCCAR was invited to participate to discuss its role in defence procurement.
