The first MMF aircraft took off for the first time into the clear and cold skies of Madrid on Wednesday 28 November 2018. This is the first MMF airplane fully configured as an MRTT first flight, after completion of the production phase at the Airbus DS facilities in Getafe.

The Royal Netherlands Air Force has received the USA Aviation Week magazine laureate prize for its efforts in leading the creation of a Multinational Fleet of eight Airbus A330 MRTT tanker/transports to improve the interoperability and boost the capability of European air forces.

A key milestone in the Logistic Support Ship (LSS) Programme was successfully achieved on 22 June 2018, with the launch of the new 27,200 full load displacement ship at Fincantieri’s Riva Trigoso shipyard.

Mid sections of the Italian Navy’s new Logistic Support Ship (LSS), named Vulcano, were launched on 21st April at the FINCANTIERI integrated shipyard in Riva Trigoso (Genoa).
