The Transfer of Title of A400M MSN103 was signed on 16 June, becoming the 87th aircraft delivered to Nations under the OCCAR contract. However, this one was an important achievement for OCCAR, as it was the first one to be completed with full delegation from Germany, allowing OCCAR to perform the inspections and functional checks on their behalf, and also completed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The French Minister for the Armed Forces, Mme. Florence Parly, led the first steel cutting ceremony” of FLL LSS on 18 May 2020 in the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard, marking the official launch of the production of the First of Class (FOC) and unveiling the baptism names of the LSS series.
On 2nd September 2019, OCCAR EA Director Mr Arturo Alfonso Meiriño visited Saint-Nazaire OCCAR LSS PD premises, located in the “Chantiers de l’Atlantique” shipyard facilities. He was accompanied by Eng. Gen. Laurent Sellier, Director of the Naval Management Unit of the French “Direction Générale de l’Armement”.
In the wake of LSS PD expansion with the opening of Paris site on 15th February 2019, the new OCCAR satellite of Saint-Nazaire was activated on 3rd June 2019, with the arrival of a first Platform Support Officer, to that will be supplemented in July by a second Staff Member.
