The Paris Airshow opened at Le Bourget on 17th June. The opening flying display was by the A400M, accompanied in style by the French Patrouille de France display team. 

The first production A400M new generation airlifter made its maiden flight on 6 March 2013, marking a key milestone towards its delivery to the French Air Force. 

On 7th June, the 5 A400M aircraft (codename Grizzly) used for flight testing took off from Toulouse for a unique formation flight.

The Airbus Military A400M final assembly line (FAL) in Seville (Spain) has begun working on the second serial production A400M.
