The Italian FREMM frigate Martinengo carried out successfully the fourth ASTER 30 firing of the FREMM Programme on 04 March at 13:48. The firing took place at the PISQ, the Italian Joint Firing Range, facility located in Easter Sardinia.

On 9 July 2019 the OCCAR Board of Supervisors approved the assignment of the Night Vision Capability (NVC) Programme to OCCAR for management purposes. This milestone marked the formal start of the Programme Integration phase.

In February the Slovenian MoD announced on its homepage that they had chosen BOXER as the base vehicle to form two new mechanised infantry battlegroups. Slovenia joining OCCAR by becoming the fourth Participating State in the BOXER Programme will eventually be a reality soon.

The 7th Italian FREMM frigate, named Federico Martinengo in honour of the highly decorated Admiral, was launched on the 4th of March at the FINCANTIERI integrated shipyard in Riva Trigoso (Genoa).
