On 14th July 2020 the first contract amendment for MUSIS (MUltinational Space-based Imaging System) programme was signed between OCCAR-EA, on behalf of MUSIS Partner Nations (Italy and France), and the Industrial Consortium created by Thales Alenia Space - Italy and Airbus Defence and Space.

The launching ceremony of the second PPA was held on the 22nd May 2020 at the Fincantieri Shipyard in Riva Trigoso – Genova. The ship has been named after Francesco Morosini, 108th Doge of the Serenissima Republic of Venice and General Sea Captain of the Venetian Fleet (1688 – 1694).
