On 9 July 2019 the OCCAR Board of Supervisors approved the assignment of the Night Vision Capability (NVC) Programme to OCCAR for management purposes. This milestone marked the formal start of the Programme Integration phase.

On 31 May 2019 the Contract Amendment Nr.3 for the Italian LSS Programme  was signed in La Spezia by Fincantieri/Leonardo as Prime Contractors and OCCAR-EA on behalf of Italy.

The First Steel Cutting ceremony for the 4th Multipurpose Patrol Ship (PPA) took place on 14th March at Riva Trigoso Shipyard (Genoa), 6 months ahead of schedule.
